My 3 (Grand) Sons
How about an update of Bryce, Peyton and Colin, whilst I'm at it? Hard to believe that Bryce will be 12, Peyton is 5 and in Kindergarten, and Colin is 2..... Wow! Are Heather and Shawn getting old.....lol
Here is Peyton's First Day at School.....

As you can see... Nobody seemed the least bit "teary-eyed." Peyton never even looked back! lol

Holy Moley!
After I posted my contest submission, I realized that there are several finishes that I'd never posted! Here ya' go....
Mrs Washington by The Sampler Girl
Victoria Sampler Nametag from our Get Together at A Stitcher's Garden in Dewitt in May
This was a Passione Rincon Freebie done for my kitchen.... maybe someday I'll frame it!
I did this little guy last February while waiting for a flight at Kennedy.... I had several folks looking over my shoulder. He was also a freebie, but I can't remember the name of the French site! I used 22ct Hardanger, and stitched him.... He's only about 3". I even cut the mats! Whooo-hoo!
This is "A Kindred House" by Chessie and Me. I made it for Heather and Shawn's 10th Wedding Anniversary...... lots of speciality stitches, but it was still fun!
I did all 4 of the Prairie Schooler long Seasonal Samplers from last year:
....As well as the 4 Seasonal "block" samplers:

My first contest
I decided to enter a contest. I'm not "tickled pink" about my entry (mostly because it needed more work!), but I sent a pic out anyway. I think I'll make a small pillow out of it. The frame shown is just a Photoshop jobbie.
The prize is two charts of my favorite new designer, The Sampler Girl! I'm hoping that I can still ask for two of her "President's Ladies" if I win..... lol
What do you think?

Our Weekend vacation
Yeah, I know it's been a while since I've updated my blog..... "Deal with it!"
We took Chris and his Fiance, Shannon to the Louden race.... Thanks to Hurricane Ike, we got soaked in the morning, but the weather cleared just in time for the race to begin. The gods were kind......
I have to say that Vermont and New Hampshire have the most beautiful scenery! We left Albany on route 7 through Troy, then Bennington, Vermont, and into New Hampshire all the way on route 9 into Nashua, New Hampshire. The towns were so "quaint," and made me think of my hometown, Oneonta, New York.
Needless to say, a great time was had by all!
You can either "click" the Blog title, or copy and paste the link below to see how much fun we had!

It's been so long......
Okay, so I was blog-surfing because my nephew, Eric is in Afghanistan, and has "learned" how to use Blogspot. It reminded me that it's been a while since I updated this puppy!
I've been very busy cross stitching, and stress relieving...... anybody who knows me also knows why! Here's a little bit of what I've been doing... enjoy!
A Valentine for my Hubby......
A birthday present for a friend who is a dental hygenist..... It says "Wear your mittens, eat your vegetables, and don't forget to floss." The thread used for the saying was a little too light for the fabric, so it doesn't photograph as "sharp" as it actually "looks!"
There's one more, but I can't show it off yet. It's a present! Shhhhhhhh!!!!
Speaking of the weather..... was I?.... This Winter hasn't been all that bad.... THUD! That was the sound of a hundred inches of snow falling on my street! We've only had around 6 feet so far..... not bad at all! We might not even win the "Golden Snowball" award this year! I think that Buffalo, NY has had more..... they can have it this year!
When I can think of something else to say, I'll post again..... I'll leave ya'll with a photo of The Grands - it's been a while.....
